The Health Center is in charge of providing preventive and curative medical and dental care for the students, as a priority. This attention is free in most cases. To do this, the Health Center offers services of:
Ambulatory attention in:
- General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Nutrition, Minor surgery, Gastroenterology, Traumatology, Physiatry, Gynecology-Obstetrics and Psychiatry.
- General odontology and specialties such as: mouth surgery, endodontics, fixed and removable prosthesis, X rays and dental urgencies. (In dental attention the budget is free. The payment of treatments is done while they are in progress. If the students have economic problems they can ask for eventual help from Student Welfare).
- First Aid.
- Ambulance transportation, in case of urgencies, to specialized centers.
- Immunization programs: anti-hepatitis and influenza.
- Health campaign promotion within the University community.
- Information talks.
- Kinetic attention: The students who practice sports have free attention. The others can pay by installments, while their treatment is in progress.
To have access to any of these specialties, students must go to the Health Center and make an appointment.
