The function of the Academic Vice Presidency is to coordinate and supervise all the academic activities of the University; to study and propose policies to the President for undergraduate and graduate teaching, extension, teaching equipment and libraries, and monitor the compliance with these policies in the Faculties; to encourage and guide, according to the University policies, the active and creative participation of the University students, favoring students with wide attention, through the academic and administrative units of the University, in order to effectively contribute to their integral development.

The Academic Vice Presidency is headed by a Senior Authority and it is constituted by the following units (or areas) that support the achievement of its academic objectives: Undergraduate Directorate, Graduate Directorate, Integral Education Department, Unit of Admission, Unit of Libraries, Unit of Academic and Curricular Registration and the Unit of Educational Innovation.
